In May of 1997 Jamie Young Jeter and David Jeter, both artists with a passion for travel, took a day trip to Mexico, where they filled their car with interesting gardening pots they discovered in a roadside shop. They returned to Los Angeles and promptly sold the entire haul to a local florist. Recognizing an undeserved market, they began to design and produce their own line of flowerpots, only to discover that the rustic, handcrafted quality would make unusual bases for lamps, and with this conversion the Jamie Young Company was born. The combined experience and perspective of husband and wife team David Jeter and Jamie Young Jeter make this company stand out. Jamie Young Company has been able to discover a wide range of design looks in the home fashion world. All based on traveling the world and being influenced by art and history. With a love of unique materials and a pulse on today's trends and customers'needs, Jamie Young Company has created an incredible lifestyle approach to design. With a well-traveled, sophisticated collection like Jamie Young Co, one does not need to travel the world to feel their home reflects a larger vision then their hometown.
