Return Policy The Short Version
Return policy varies by brand but most products are covered by this: 20% restocking fee, plus return shipping on remorse returns. Damaged or defective items are replaced at no cost to you. Customized and made-to-order products are not returnable. Note: Installed fixtures cannot be returned. Note: Parts, glass, replacement shades, stems/chain are not returnable.
Damaged / Defective Merchandise
Damaged or defective items will be replaced at no cost to you. Photos are now required on ALL damaged or defective claims. Please include a photo of the problem and the box even if the box is undamaged.
If an item shows up damaged you must notify us within 7 days of receipt of your shipment. LTL, Freight, Truck, Common carrier orders--any damage to boxes must be noted before signing for delivery. Inspect all packages carefully and note on concerns before signing for the delivery.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org or Fax (800) 361-9122 include order number, product number and the nature of the problem. Replacement parts will be sent when applicable otherwise a replacement will be sent at no cost to you. Return labels will be sent to return the defective merchandise.
Remorse Merchandise Return
1) The fixture Must NEVER have been installed. Any signs of installation and no credit will be given.
2) Must be packed with all ORIGINAL boxes and packaging including plastic wrappings to protect the finish. If original materials are not available no credit will be given. Please insure the return, you are responsible for any damage or loss during shipping.
Not Returnable Items Include:
Made to order lighting from: Brass Traditions, Hanover Lantern, Fourtheenth Colony. Northeast Lantern Stiffel. Robert Abbey made in the USA foundry lamps (Double Gourd etc.). Large furniture is not returnable please inquire if the item you are considering returnable. White Glove delivered items are not returnable. Damage defective furniture will be replaced. All Bungalow 5 and Noir brand items are not returnable.

Return request must be requested within 30 days of receipt.
Items that are not returnable include some crystal chandeliers, some Robert Abbey made to order lamps, some over size chandeliers please inquire. Customize items are not returnable. Made to order fixtures (or customized) are not returnable including but not limited to Brass Traditions, Fourteenth Colony, Hanover Lantern, Hubbardton Forge, Meyda Tiffany, and Northeast Lantern.
Restocking fee on returnable items is 20%. Plus return shipping. Returns must be received within 30 days of RMA issue date.
Please note large fixtures and furniture items are very expensive to ship and you will be responsible for all shipping charges.
You will receive a return authorization number from us which depending upon the manufacturer can take 1 day to 4 days. You cannot return the item without this number. Returns sent without a return authorization: no credit will be given, products will not be return or delivery refused.
No employee of Lighttrends.com is allowed to waive restocking fees.
No Cancellation Fees*
You may cancel your anytime without cancellation fees as long as it has not shipped. If you an item is back-ordered we generally notify you the next business day. *Expect products that are custom made or made to order fixtures which cancellation fees will only be charged if the respective manufacture is in final stage fabrication. Made-to-order manufacturers include Brass Traditions, Fourteenth Colony, Genie House, Hubbardton Forge, Lt. Moses Willard, Meta Light, Meyda Tiffany, Northeast Lantern, and Norwell. *Hanover Lantern, Urban Electric orders, Meyda, and other made-to-order brands cannot be canceled once the order is in place with the manufacture.
Parts, replacement parts, replacement glass, extra chain, bulbs, unwrapped shades are not returnable.
Not returnable, large quantities (quantities of 7 or more of the same item), Special Orders or Project Quotations: When ordering large quantities or special orders for large projects, we suggest ordering a sample for evaluation, some manufacturers will not allow returns on large quantities.
If an item is received defective we can only replace the item or send parts. Replacements or replacement parts are shipped ground only. We are not responsible for additional fees you may incur from your installer.
