The Blue & White Optical Small Tea Jar is a lidded canister with luminous brass rings running the circumference of the bottom, the top, and along each edge where the lid meets the jar. The electric blue pattern that dynamically crisscrosses the surface of the jar is painted by hand. Proving that this piece is artisanal in its creation, the brushstrokes are evident in the blue pattern. Though this blue decorative jar was inspired by centuries-old designs made for the storage of tea leaves, it has a surprisingly contemporary feel.
